Success for Plymouth Medical Expert Debate

Last week saw our Medico-Legal Panel Debate take place at Plymouth University, after being rescheduled due to the snowy conditions this March. Held in association with Plymouth Law School and Nuffield Health, the panel was arranged as part of Enable Law’s ongoing relationship with Plymouth Law School.
Attendees were able to enjoy an informal evening of discussion with the panel, which included our own Paul Sankey, Simon Lindsay from Bevan Brittan, Senior Consultant Vascular Surgeon Simon Ashley, and Dr Steve Harris, a GP with Beacon Medical Group.
Four topics were debated on the evening, including the changes that the Montgomery case has made to the work of both lawyers and clinicians and which method of compensation panellists thought should be used.
Enable Law’s collaboration with Plymouth Law School also includes taking part in the Medlaw module, offering work-based learning to students including working with solicitors in the Enable Law team.
