Emily Johnstone

I am passionate about providing excellent legal representation to clients and understanding the needs and challenges which they face as injured individuals.

"They are open, approachable, methodical and efficient. They are clear and offer regular communication." Chambers Guide 2018

I completed my training contract with the Foot Anstey Group in September 2018, during which I spent two seats with the medical negligence team and assisted with cases involving child birth injuries, sepsis, surgical negligence and delayed diagnosis of cancer.

I am now a medical negligence solicitor based in the Bristol office. As a newly qualified solicitor I deal with a variety of different claims, representing both patients and their families.

Career Highlights

– Training and working alongside nationally recognised medical negligence experts
– Assisting in a £5 million settlement for a client who suffered a life changing birth injury
– Achieving a 2.1 Law degree at the University of Cambridge in 2015

Other Information

To further improve my written and oral advocacy skills, I chose to undertake the civil Higher Rights of Audience course in addition to the core litigation modules as part of my training contract.
