I specialise in health and welfare mental capacity law and help people challenge decisions made by public bodies, including local authorities and the NHS.
I am regularly instructed to represent P in Court of Protection proceedings, either through advocate litigation friends or the Official Solicitor, as well as representing family members.
- I advocate for individuals who are unable to make their own decisions surrounding important aspects of their lives, including their care, residence or contact with their family members or friends.
- I often work with highly vulnerable individuals who are suffering from conditions such as autism, learning disabilities, brain injury or dementia, in cases which relate to P’s mental capacity, deprivation of liberty, health and welfare.
