MY ROLE IS ABOUT WORKING WITH YOU TO ENSURE MISTAKES ARE REMEDIED, LESSONS ARE LEARNED AND PATIENT SAFETY IS IMPROVED. MAKING A DIFFERENCE AND DRIVING CHANGE MOTIVATES ME TO WORK HARD FOR YOU.
"It's hard to put into words just how much I appreciate all you have done and how amazing I think you are."
I specialise in claims involving birth injuries resulting in stillbirth, neonatal death and serious disability, and I have expertise in secondary victim claims resulting from psychiatric injuries as a result of witnessing a horrific event.
I also have a particular interest in neurology and neurosurgical claims resulting in hydrocephalus and neural tube defects – my son had a brain haemorrhage at birth causing hydrocephalus and he has a VP shunt and cerebral palsy.
Before qualifying as a solicitor, I worked in the NHS as the lead for Information Governance where I managed data protection, Freedom of Information and records management.
- Settling a number of claims for the parents of a stillborn children including fathers who suffered psychiatric injury as a result of witnessing their child’s death during labour
- Being part of a team to obtain a +£20 million settlement for a brain injured client
- Hockey player of dubious talent
- I am passionate about supporting charities, including Shine – the national hydrocephalus and spina bifida charity – who supported me and my family when our son was diagnosed with hydrocephalus.
