Enable Law has launched a new market-leading inclusive parental leave policy as part of a wide range of wider family support benefits.

The specialist mental capacity, personal injury and medical negligence law firm has underlined its family-friendly ethos by expanding its family support package to offer six months’ full parental leave to all employees regardless of gender.

This enhanced financial support for all employees forms one strand of Enable Law’s ‘family forming’ package, which is designed to assist hopeful and expecting families and parents.

Other benefits include access to reproductive healthcare support from Fertifa, neonatal support and pay during pregnancy, and lasting support for parents including a ‘Parental Returners Hub’ and ‘Back-up care’ offering delivered through Bright Horizons.

Enable Law’s commitment to supporting families through their ‘family forming’ programme is one of several new policies that have been introduced to strengthen the firm’s ability to attract and retain talented individuals who support its ambitious growth plans.

The firm is also launching a new mortgage support benefit which will provide one-to-one access to independent mortgage advisers, helping the firm’s staff tackle the complexities of the mortgage market.

Welcoming the new benefits, Rob Antrobus, Head of Enable Law, said: “Enable Law prides itself on putting people first and that’s why we have introduced one of the best parental leave packages in the legal sector.

“Offering six months of fully paid parental leave gives all our people the time, support and financial security they need to care for their families and to support personal growth and fulfil professional potential.

“The family-forming’ package represents a vital step towards achieving greater equality in caregiving responsibilities and it will strengthen our ability to attract and retain talented and dedicated individuals.”

As well as its Plymouth headquarters, Enable Law has offices in Bristol, Exeter, London, Truro, Taunton and Southampton and is part the national Foot Anstey group.

Kerri O’Driscoll, Head of Reward and People Delivery at Foot Anstey, added: “Giving our people time and financial security to support their families through early development stages is a vital step towards achieving greater equality in caregiving responsibilities. We know that supporting our people through different life stages allows them to achieve their full potential.”
