“I am known for my approachable and down-to-earth style, and for providing reassurance and continuity when families are navigating what can often be a complex and challenging time.”

I am a Partner in the Mental Capacity Team, specialising in helping people who are unable to manage their own financial affairs. I act as professional deputy and advise on a wide range of matters including property purchase and adaptation, investments, trusts and the management of significant assets.

I work closely with clients, their families and other professionals, taking the time to understand what matters most to each individual and making sure decisions are practical, clear and focused on their best interests.

Career Highlights

  • Acting as professional deputy and assisting the litigation team to agree the terms of a complex reverse indemnity as part of the overall settlement
  • Supporting a client to evidence that they had regained capacity and therefore no longer required their appointed deputy and to set up a personal injury trust with professional trustee as an alternative
  • Supporting a client in the run up to their wedding by facilitating the setting up of a prenuptial agreement and Will to protect the client’s substantial settlement award. I also ensured the property works were completed so the wedding could take place at their home and agreed a budget for the wedding costs
  • Supporting a young client and their family with a 6 week holiday in Jamaica, where they were able to spend time with wider family, allowing the client to experience and connect with their heritage.
