Mental Capacity

Trainee Solicitor

I am a Trainee Solicitor in the mental capacity Team and have been at Enable Law for over three years.

Prior to joining the mental capacity team, I worked at a Case Progression Officer within a Public Law team at a Combined Court in the South West.

I provide support to the wider team with both Property and Affairs Deputyships and Personal Injury Trusts. This work involves making applications to the Court of Protection, making best interest decisions an assisting with property purchases and adaptions. I enjoy being able to support clients through all different life events and find my role highly rewarding.

In my free time I enjoy reading, running and volunteering at a local brain injury café.

Career Highlights

  • Successfully applying to revoke Deputyship Order where the client was assessed as regaining the necessary mental capacity to manage his own property and financial affairs
  • Successfully obtaining a Statutory Will on a contentious Deputyship
  • Successfully applying for a transfer of Deputyship when the relationship had broken down with the previous Deputy and allowing the client to regain faith in the Court of Protection
