“A medical negligence claim is an opportunity for patients and their families to make sure the same mistakes aren’t made again”

I am a member of the clinical negligence team, and I deal with a range of clinical negligence matters on behalf of claimants. This includes claims against NHS Trusts, GPs and other healthcare providers.

I specialise in supporting families who have suffered baby loss and lead the specialist baby loss team. I recognise the devastating impact such a loss can have on a family. I am committed to helping them obtain the answers that they need and to bring about positive changes to Hospital policies, to prevent other families from going through the same thing. I work closely with various baby loss charities; I am a hospital volunteer for Aching Arms and a committee member of Towards Tomorrow Together.

I also help families whose child has been severely injured due to errors in care during pregnancy, labour or afterwards, and families who have experienced other kinds of bereavement.  This may include supporting the family through the Inquest process.

I also have helped a broad range of clients with issues such as orthopaedic injuries, delays in diagnosis, vascular conditions and misdiagnosis.

Career Highlights

  • Awarded Solicitor of the Year in 2025 at the Devon and Somerset Law Society Awards for my work with baby loss families.
  • I achieved a settlement of £400,000 for my client whose son was stillborn. His death understandably had a devastating impact on her mental health and ability to work.
  • The parents I have helped have praised my compassion and advised that they felt safe knowing that I was doing all I could for them and their baby.
  • I have been heavily involved in a number of multimillion pound birth injury cases.
  • I helped a mother whose 6 year old son died from sepsis. It was a very complicated claim and his mother had witnessed him receiving extensive, traumatic treatment and his death.  I was able to settle the claims for her child’s death and her psychiatric injury so that she could receive the targeted therapy she needed.
