Contact Our Team
Our specialist solicitors are experienced in supporting people with cardiology claims (relating to the heart and circulatory system) when negligent treatment has impacted their health.
We understand that pursuing a cardiology claim may feel stressful, worrying and overwhelming. We are here to provide support, information and advice every step of the way.
We work with adults and children who have suffered due to oversights, errors and mismanagement of their heart care and treatment. We also help families who have suffered the death of a loved one following negligent cardiology care.
If you are concerned about the treatment you received or the treatment given to a loved one, do get in touch. We are happy to have an initial informal discussion to explain your options with no obligation to proceed with a claim.

WE BROUGHT A CLAIM AGAINST JOHN'S GP AND PROVED THAT THEY HAD BEEN NEGLIGENT, SECURING DAMAGES OF MORE THAN £500,000 FOR HIM.
£500,000 cardiology negligence compensation
We secured £500,000 for John* whose GP missed the signs of a serious cardiac condition that resulted in a major heart attack.
As a result, John’s life expectancy reduced and the quality of his life was impacted too.
He needed triple bypass surgery, was left breathless, weak and unable to walk far. He had to give up work and became depressed.
We were able to demonstrate that John’s GP was negligent.
The damages awarded have helped replace John’s lost income. It will also pay for treatment, support at home and equipment to make his daily tasks easier.

What is the process for making a cardiology claim?
The first step to pursuing a compensation claim is an informal chat with us where we will listen to what has happened to you.
We’ll ask some questions to help us assess the best thing to do next.
If you have a claim, one of our specialist solicitors will begin working with you to gather evidence.
This may include accessing your medical records, gaining assessments from other medical professionals and assessing the financial impact the negligence has already had on you and may have in the future, such as through loss of earnings or costs accessing treatment or equipment.
If negligence is accepted, we may be able to access interim compensation payments on your behalf to help you straight away.
Securing a final settlement takes longer – often a year or more – because it is important to ensure all aspects of the harm you have suffered or may suffer in the future are properly assessed and accounted for.
Most medical negligence cases are settled by negotiations between solicitors and would not require you to attend court. However your case is settled, we’ll be there to explain everything and support you throughout.
What is the average payment for cardiology negligence claims?
Serious cardiology negligence claims can result in compensation of hundreds of thousands of pounds or even more than a million.
The size of damages is based in part on how much harm has been done to an individual and the costs associated with that harm.
For example, someone who is young and will have their earning potential severely impacted for life or who may require care for life might be awarded compensation to reflect that. Someone who has suffered a brain injury as a result of a failure in their cardiovascular treatment may qualify for higher-end damages.
People who have suffered less long term or serious harm that does not carry as many costly implications will receive less overall damages.
Women may face a greater risk of suffering cardiology negligence
Women may be particularly prone to suffering poorer medical care for certain heart conditions due to long-standing issues in relation to lack of research and understanding of aspects of female health.
If you fear you have been let down by the care you received, do get in touch – we’re happy to discuss what happened and advise if we can help.
