The David Fuller compensation scheme that was initially closed on 30th June 2023 is now being re-opened and is scheduled to stay open until 30th April 2024.
The compensation scheme originally opened in December 2022 and was closed to new claims on 30th June 2023.
The Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust indicated that the scheme would be re-opened for some, but not all families effected by David Fuller’s crimes. This group is limited to families who should have but may not have received some correspondence from the Trust in 2022 advising them that the scheme was open.
At Enable Law, we were concerned that this would still exclude some families who through no fault of their own had not been able to submit claims. We raised these concerns with the Trust’s legal representatives and the scheme is now being reopened for all potential Claimants until 30th April 2024.

We are currently waiting for an update on the results of the Phase 1 report following the independent inquiry on the Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust into issues raised by the David Fuller case.
