Ceri-Ann Taylor

Medical Negligence

Managing Associate

“My aim is to help my clients through what is inevitably a challenging time by obtaining compensation to provide funding for their future needs.”

I am a highly specialist and experienced senior clinical negligence lawyer. I am accredited by the Law Society as being a specialist in this area of law. I act for claimants with life threatening or severe and permanent injuries, sustained as a result of a medical accident. I am recognised nationally for my in depth knowledge and experience of supporting patients who have suffered a delay in diagnosis of cancer. That delay very often affects their treatment options and can significantly impact their prognosis.

I also represent women who have gynaecological problems who have not been provided with appropriate treatment which has led to infertility, lifelong symptoms or terminal illness, as well as patients with bowel conditions that have not been appropriately managed.

I frequently support the family members of loved ones who have lost their lives due to receiving delayed or sub-standard medical care.

I have expertise in:

  • Delays in diagnosis of cancer
  • Gynaecological conditions
  • Bowel conditions
  • Spinal injuries

Career Highlights

  • Recovered substantial awards for many patients who have suffered avoidable mastectomies as a result of a delay in diagnosis of breast cancer.
  • Recovered substantial awards for a number of women whose cervical smear tests were incorrectly reported as “normal” and they then unfortunately went on to develop cervical cancer requiring life changing surgery and loss of fertility.
  • Recovered substantial award for family with young children whose mum was prescribed a fatal amount of Tramadol.
  • Settled various cases where patients have suffered avoidable and debilitating spinal injuries as a result in substandard surgical care.
  • I have been involved in countless charity events including running the London, Brighton and Edinburgh marathons for various cancer and disability related charities.
